Newcastle United destroyed a sorry Tottenham Hotspur outfit by a score of 6-1 on Sunday evening – one of their players, Joe Willock, earned the plaudits of fans on Twitter.
It was a strong performance from everyone wearing the famous black and white. Nevertheless, Willock managed to stand out, playing some unbelievable passes that cut Spurs’ defence apart.

Newcastle stunned their opponents in the game against Spurs with an incredibly quick start. They were 3-0 up before the ten-minute mark – soon after, Willock played a sumptuous ball with the outside of his foot to set up Alexander Isak’s first goal of the afternoon.
The game ended 6-1 – the Toon’s goals on the day were scored by Jacob Murphy, Alexander Isak, Joelinton and Callum Wilson, as the Toon swept aside their opponents.
Willock’s standout performance has led many to believe he deserves a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad. He faces stiff competition from the likes of Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Jordan Henderson, but if the Three Lions boss wishes to switch things up, Willock could be given a chance to shine.
