Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United will be looking to solidify their spot in the top four with a win over Brentford on Saturday, April 7 at the Gtech Community Stadium. Will it be another win on the road for the Magpies?

Newcastle currently have three players ruled out for the game against Brentford. Emil Krafth, Ryan Fraser and top goalscorer Miguel Almiron will all miss out on the game against the Bees. Additionally, Joe Willock is also a major doubt, as he is suffering with a thigh problem – it’s likely that he will be absent for this game, too.

In their last game, Newcastle were rampant as they ripped a lacklustre West Ham United outfit apart, winning by a scoreline of 5-1. Alexander Isak, Callum Wilson and Joelinton all scored and played major parts in the rout over the Hammers.

Brentford, on the other hand, tasted defeat in their last game. They put in an admirable display against Manchester United at Old Trafford, but were eventually felled by a goal from Marcus Rashford – the scores ended at 1-0.

The last time the two teams met, Newcastle were victorious by a wide margin – the scores ended 5-1. The Toon were rampant – Miguel Almiron, Jacob Murphy and Bruno Guimaraes all found themselves on the scoresheet, as Ivan Toney netted the Bees’ solitary goal of the game.
