Newcastle remain favourites to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram at the end of the season, according to reports in England.
The France international, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, will be available on a free transfer when his contract expires in June.
Thuram has been in great form this campaign, scoring 15 goals in 26 appearances, and combined with his ability to play right across the front three, he looks to be a bargain. Most fans on Twitter are backing the Magpies to secure his services:

This one makes the most sense for a third choice forward ST. Would compete for wing spots, and if needed can play up front too, perfect for that role.

As some supporters have pointed out, the fact that he can be brought in for free makes him a very attractive target. The forward is also still only 25 and he would add depth to the forward line.
Of course, there will be competition for his signature but Newcastle can offer him game time, a good salary, and an ambitious project, which will make them very hard to turn down.
