Newcastle ‘Ready To Shell Out’ £43.4M On Midfielder Who Has Been Described As “Better Than Jude Bellingham”

Newcastle and Liverpool are “ready to shell out” €50m (£43.4m) on Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to TMW.

The Italian website claims that the two clubs have “already made proposals” to sign the Netherlands international this summer.

Bayern are reluctant to sell Gravenberch. They only recruited the 20-year-old from Ajax last year, and they would like to keep him at the Allianz Arena.

However, TMW report that the player is “dissatisfied” with his lack of game time at the Bundesliga club and he could try and force through a move away from Germany.

The Magpies and Liverpool are not the only Premier League teams interested in Gravenberch, with Manchester United and Arsenal having also been mentioned as potential suitors in recent weeks.

The Dutchman is very highly rated in his homeland, with former Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart even claiming that he is “better than Jude Bellingham”. It is up for debate whether that is true or not but it seems clear that Newcastle do think he is a top talent.
