Newcastle United target Dominik Szoboszlai is “very open” to leaving RB Leipzig this summer, according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Hungarian international has increased speculation about a transfer in recent days by making statements about his future, and Plettenberg says Leipzig are “not happy” that he has made his feelings public:
News #Szoboszlai: Player is very open to leave RB in summer as he’s aware of the concrete interest from @NUFC as revealed.
➡️ He’s a top transfer target of #NUFC
➡️ Release clause of around €70m

Szobozslai is known to be on Newcastle’s shortlist of options for the summer transfer window and his €70m (£60m) release clause does make him an attractive target, especially considering his performances this season.
The 22-year-old has racked up nine goals and provided 13 assists in 45 appearances, and his form has also drawn the attention of Chelsea and a number of other teams.
The Magpies are looking at a number of attacking midfielders
Szoboszlai is, by no means, the only no.10 that manager Eddie Howe is targeting this summer.
Leicester City’s James Maddison is thought to be a top target, and he could be a cheaper option than Szoboszlai at £40m to £50m. The club are also said to be keen on Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus.
