Newcastle United are reportedly linked with Juventus striker and Manchester United transfer target Dusan Vlahovic, according to a report from Italian sports media outlet Calcio Mercato.

Despite Juventus chief Francesco Salvo’s insistence that Vlahovic is ‘not for sale’ in the upcoming summer transfer window, the continues to be linked with high-profile clubs in England and beyond.

As such, the Toon will face hefty competition if they wish to bring Vlahovic to St. James’ Park. Who else is interested in the Serbian hitman?

Aside from Manchester United, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also thought to be interested in bringing Vlahovic to the club. While Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus have both had fine seasons for the Gunners, the 6ft 3 Vlahovic would add a completely different dimension to their game from an attacking point of view.

On top of this, Chelsea are also believed to be interested in Vlahovic. The Blues are in desperate need of a striker – the 23-year-old could be an ideal solution to their plight. As such, Newcastle will need act fast if they are to gain a foothold in the race to secure Vlahovic’s signature.

Dusan Vlahovic career summary

Born in Belgrade in his native Serbia, Vlahovic’s first youth team came in the form of OFK Beograd, who he joined when he was just ten years of age.

In 2014, he made the jump to Beograd’s rivals, Partizan Belgrade. He would go on to make 21 appearances for Crno-beli, scoring a solitary goal.

In 2018, he was scouted and subsequently snapped up by Fiorentina. At I Viola, he began to attract worldwide attention – he scored 44 goals in 98 games for the Italian club.

He was then signed by Juventus – his time with the Old Lady has been mixed, but his enormous potential still remains. Could he be a Premier League player next season?
