Shearer Names 4 Newcastle Stars, Liverpool Duo And West Ham Talisman In His PL Team Of The Week

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has chosen four Magpies players in his official Premier League Team of the Week following the sensational 6-1 victory over Tottenham at the weekend.

The pundit praised Alexander Isak who he said “ran the show” but he also singled out Joe Willock as the ex-Arsenal player made “one of the best passes” of the season.

Jacob Murphy (who got a brace) and Joelinton (who scored Newcastle’s second goal) were included in Shearer’s eleven too.

In terms of the rest of the team, Leicester’s Daniel Iversen was selected in goal, with his teammate Timothy Castagne at right-back. The remaining places in the back three went to Everton’s Michael Keane and Liverpool’s Andy Robertson.

After scoring in the 4-0 win against Bournemouth, West Ham captain Declan Rice was named in midfield along with Willock and Southampton’s Carlos Alcaraz, who scored in the Saints’ 3-3 draw versus the Gunners.

Up front, Liverpool’s Diogo Jota was picked alongside Isak, Joelinton and Murphy after scoring another brace in the Reds’ 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest.
