Newcastle will “target” Chelsea winger Noni Madueke if they manage to offload Miguel Almiron, according to I News.
MLS Side Charlotte FC have made an approach to sign Almiron but the clubs are currently very far apart on their valuations of the Paraguayan international.
If a deal can be agreed in time, though, it looks like a bid for Madueke is on the cards. Fans on X would back the club’s attempts to buy the 22-year-old, although they fear that he will be pretty expensive:
Chelsea will want a fortune as he’s on a long contract. He has a terrible injury history, many things make this complicated.

Yes, please, he’s rapid and has been one of Chelsea best players in preseason 😍

I’d say 35 million

We should want him anyway despite whatever happens with almiron and almiron might not even move with only 2 days left to complete a deal

Chelsea need to sell players
After splashing out £54m on Wolves’ Pedro Neto, the Blues do need to raise plenty of cash from player sales before the transfer window closes.
As Neto is effectively coming in to replace Madueke, it looks like Chelsea would be open to selling him. Even so, they paid PSV Eindhoven £28.5m for the player at the start of last year so they would still want to make a profit on their investment.
Newcastle’s right flank would be strengthened by Madueke’s arrival
Magpies boss Eddie Howe has been keen to reinforce the right-hand side of the attack for quite some time. I News claim he is a “fan” of Madueke so it’s clear that they have made the winger a priority summer target.
However, due to the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules, any move for the Chelsea star depends on Almiron being sold first.
