The Premier League is among the strongest leagues in the world – as such, it plays host to some of the greatest centre-backs in world football.

We’ll be looking at players from teams such as Manchester United, Newcastle United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal for this list – however, every Premier League team has been taken into account. Top players such as Tim Ream, Cristian Romero and Adam Webster sadly missed out on the final cut but deserve an honourable mention.

Just a quick note – we will only be including one player per club. It was difficult to choose between the likes of Fabian Schar and Sven Botman – can you guess who we went with?
