Newcastle January signing Anthony Gordon had a difficult start to life on Tyneside but his cameo performance off the bench against Manchester United on Sunday has got a lot of supporters talking.
Many had questioned the £45m that the Magpies spent to bring the player in from Everton earlier this year, but fans on Twitter are now getting excited about what the future might hold for the 22-year-old:
Going to be some player.

After the victory against Man United, manager Eddie Howe did provide more context around Gordon’s problems settling in at his new club, having started just two matches since arriving just over a couple of months ago.
An ankle injury had been causing him some issues and the international break allowed him to heal up and play with more freedom. With the winger now said to be 100% fit, he will undoubtedly be hoping to build on his display at the weekend in upcoming fixtures.
