Newcastle United’s midfield wizard, Bruno Guimaraes, has treated his Instagram followers with a trio of adorable photos of him and his baby son Matteo.
The three photos in the post all show Guimaraes laughing along merrily with his four-month-old son in their home, who is adorned with Disney pyjamas – it really is too cute to accurately describe.
For the post’s caption, Guimaraes wrote [translated from Portuguese]: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Currently, the post has just under 50,000 likes on Instagram. A couple of Guimaraes’ international compatriots left a comment on the post, including Diego Ferreira and Liverpool’s Fabinho.
Guimaraes’ partner, Ana Lídia Martins, also left a comment. She wrote [translated from Portuguese]: “My life in a photo.”
According to a post on Martins’ Instagram, their son was born on October 21, 2022.
Guimaraes is currently recovering from a minor ankle injury that he sustained during Newcastle’s 2-0 League Cup final defeat against Manchester United.
At this moment in time, it is unclear as to whether he’ll be fit for the Magpies’ Premier League game against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Saturday. However, the 25-year-old seems to be happy to be away from the pitch for a bit – with a baby as cute as his, who wouldn’t be?
