Another ‘keeper whose career didn’t pan out as many would have hoped, Jack Butland once looked like a shoo-in to be the next England number one – sadly, that honour has gone to Everton’s Jordan Pickford.
Butland is a very talented goalkeeper but prone to inexplicable mistakes. In turn, this affects his confidence, increasing his levels of inconsistency.
