Newcastle have revived their interest in Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise, according to the Daily Mail.
The Frenchman has been in scintillating form in recent weeks and the Magpies are said to be seriously contemplating making a move for the player this summer.
While the majority of fans on X are backing a bid for Olise, some have questioned whether the club should be pursuing him due to his poor injury record and interest from other clubs:
This is something I could get behind, he was fantastic against us and against man u

There'll be a bidding war with some desperate teams in the north west and we'll back out. Sad but that's the way it is.

Unbelievable upgrade if true

We love a link to an injury prone player, when will we be linked to Keiron Dyer?

Do it. Trigger the clause. Let's not mess about with this one. Fits our profile perfectly. Great replacement for Almiron. Young. PL experience. The guy is class and will only get better. Imagine him and Gordon on the wings with Isak uptop

Newcastle will face fierce competition for the winger
The Mail claim that Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all keeping a close eye on Olise’s progress.
One of the big attractions to signing the 22-year-old is the fact that he does have a release clause in his contract which is set at around £60m.
The level of interest may reduce Newcastle’s chances of snapping up Olise. However, with the Magpies said to be interested in appointing Palace’s Dougie Freedman as their next sporting director, his arrival could yet help them secure the player’s signature.
Olise’s injury problems are well-documented
While the forward may have scored 9 goals and contributed 4 assists this season, he has only managed to play in 17 matches due to injuries.
Hamstring problems have plagued Olise over the last twelve months and Newcastle would be taking a significant risk if they do splash out on the player.
