Once a promising young midfielder at Arsenal, his career appeared to be stagnating somewhat – until he joined Newcastle in 2021, making him one of Ashley’s last signings.
Initially joining the club on loan, he was signed permanently for a reported fee of £25 million. He’s a positive midfielder who loves to push forward and score goals.
He’s been a constant presence for the Magpies in the Premier League this year, scoring two goals and registering two assist across 22 league games.
