An exciting, forward-thinking left-back, Matthew Bondswell has an extremely strong skill-set at his disposal – it’s a wonder that the Toon haven’t called him up to their first team to help out with their issues at left-back.
An attacking full-back by trade, Bondswell loves to burst down the flank and take on his man. Despite this, he does not shirk his defensive duties.
Bondswell spent a brief spell on loan at Shrewsbury Town last season – however, he failed to make an appearance for the Shrews, with the duration of his loan taking place on their bench.
