Newcastle have agreed a fee with Chelsea for left-back Lewis Hall, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Magpies will pay £28m upfront but add-ons based on future performances for the club have also been included.
Hall is an extremely exciting young talent, having made his debut for the Blues at the age of 17 and Newcastle fans on X are understandably delighted about his potential arrival at St James’ Park:
PL experience aswell would be a top signing

Would be a superb signing, the same sort of signing as Tino on the right hand side.
With Burn, Targett & Tripps he can still learn over the next season or so, then be as you say our left back for the next 15 years.. It’s a no brainer.— Paul Sutcliffe (@PaulSutcliffe80) August 16, 2023

Him and Livramento will be one of the best fullback pairings in the league for years to come.

Hall would not have got game time if he stayed at Chelsea
Competition for places at left-back mean that Hall would not have played a lot if he had remained at Stamford Bridge. The likes of Ben Chilwell, Marc Cucurella and Ian Maatsen were ahead of him in the pecking order.
A loan move to Crystal Palace was said to be considered but Chelsea have ultimately decided that selling the player was the better choice. After spending £115m on Moises Caicedo, they need to balance the books.
The Chelsea player’s arrival will end Newcastle’s pursuit of Kieran Tierney
After being heavily linked with the Arsenal defender for a number of months, it appears manager Eddie Howe has determined that Hall is the better option.
Tierney would likely have been available for a similar fee but Hall is seven years younger and it could well be the case that the Magpies boss has decided that the 18-year-old has the higher ceiling.
