Newcastle fullback Kieran Trippier has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season.
The Magpies defender will be going up against the likes of Manchester City pair Erling Haaland & Kevin De Bruyne, Tottenham’s Harry Kane, Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford, and Arsenal duo Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka for the award.
Fans on Twitter believe Trippier fully deserves to be in contention with the other players who have made the shortlist:

How do you vote for the Premier League Player of the Season?
If you want Trippier to win, you can go to the official website here and make your vote count.
Whether the defender has a realistic chance of winning, it is doubtful, considering Haaland’s record-breaking season, but you never know. Trippier’s performances have been one of the key reasons why the Magpies find themselves in the top four and his efforts warrant recognition from the wider footballing community.
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe is also among the nominees for the Manager of the Season, while both centre-back Sven Botman and striker Alexander Isak are in contention for Young Player of the Season.
